HISTORICAL BACKGROUND
1825 The porcelain factory in Gustavsberg is founded and starts its production.
1852 the Old workshop part of the factory was built, which is the oldest site of all factory buildings. In this workshop the most important processes of the porcelain production took place, namely pottering and model designing.
1870 the launch of the porcelain Blå Blom by Gustavsberg.
In the 1940s, the factory broke new ground by constructing well-built homes for the workers.
1967–2002, The Old Workshop houses during this period many tenants, like for instance the Porcelain museum, offices and student housing.
2002 the Rödin family grand opening of Hotel Blå Blom as part of the factory building and the Old Workshop.
2008 Real estate company Flink & Partners acquires the Hotell Blå Blom, today a full service hotel including the restaurant and conference facility.
